Participants will learn and practice techniques for applying Acceptance and Commitment therapy. Pre-conference: Participants will explore the use of music therapy to treat mental health disorders, including traumatic brain injury, and will examine bills from the 2024 General Assembly to learn to advocate for mental health and just culture.

The Virginia Association of Community Psychiatric Nurses is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Virginia Nurses Association, and accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Up to 11.5 Contact Hours will be awarded for the Spring 2024 Conference: 5.5 for preconference & 6 for conference.
